The landscape

India's automated trading market roughly splits into four categories: (1) no-code strategy builders (Streak, AlgoTest), (2) strategy marketplaces (Tradetron), (3) analytics and decision-support tools (Sensibull), and (4) done-for-you services (Sleeping Trade). Each serves a different user.

Streak (Zerodha)

Strengths: no-code, integrated with Zerodha, easy to learn. Weaknesses: you still design the strategy, still monitor it, and it's Zerodha-only. Best for: Zerodha users who want to experiment with simple strategies.

AlgoTest

Strengths: powerful backtesting, reasonable pricing, good UI. Weaknesses: you still build the strategy, and the jump from backtest to live is where most users fail. Best for: intermediate traders willing to learn backtesting discipline.

Tradetron

Strengths: strategy marketplace with many options. Weaknesses: variable quality of strategy creators, hidden risks in third-party strategies, and you still monitor. Best for: traders comfortable evaluating creator track records.

Sensibull

Strengths: excellent options analytics, great visualisation. Weaknesses: it's a decision-support tool, not an execution tool — you still place every trade manually. Best for: manual options traders who want better tools.

Sleeping Trade

Strengths: done-for-you service, no strategy-building, flat subscription, multi-broker. Weaknesses: less control, 6-month commitment, still in waitlist phase. Best for: users who want systematic execution without operating overhead.

How to choose

Pick the tool that matches your available time, technical skill, and desire for control. If you want to spend 10+ hours/week on your system, AlgoTest or Tradetron. If you want zero operational time, Sleeping Trade. There's no universal best — there's best-for-you.
