1. 6-Month Commitment
All Sleeping Trade plans — Starter, Pro, Elite, and Premium Personal — are structured around a six (6) month minimum commitment. By subscribing, you agree that six months of subscription fees are committed upfront.
- Monthly-billed plans: Billed monthly, but the six-month commitment represents a financial obligation to complete the first six cycles. If you cancel or revoke broker API access before six months, the remaining monthly fees remain due.
- 6-month plans (25% discount): Prepaid in full at signup at the discounted rate. No pro-rata refund for the unused portion if you cancel early.
- Annual plans (40% discount): Prepaid in full at signup at the discounted rate. No pro-rata refund for the unused portion if you cancel early.
Discounted plans (6-month and annual) are discounted precisely because they lock in a longer commitment upfront.
2. No Refund for Months Already Used
We do not refund fees for any month (or partial month) during which the Service was available to you, regardless of whether you connected your broker, funded your account, or actively allowed trades to be executed. Availability — not usage — is the billable metric.
3. No Refund for Market Losses
Trading involves substantial risk of loss. Losses in your broker account caused by market movements, gap risk, circuit halts, liquidity issues, or adverse regulatory events are not refundable against your subscription fees. Trading risk is the user's responsibility. See the Risk Disclosure.
4. When a Partial Refund May Be Considered
A partial refund may be considered, at our sole discretion, only in the following narrow circumstances:
- Prolonged technical failure attributable solely to Sleeping Trade (our platform, not your broker or the exchange) that results in the Service being materially unavailable for an extended and verifiable period during market hours.
- The failure is directly attributable to us, not to broker outages, exchange circuit breakers, internet service provider issues, payment-gateway issues, or force majeure events.
- The user has reported the issue to us in writing within seven (7) days of its occurrence and allowed a reasonable opportunity for us to investigate and remediate.
Where approved, partial refunds are calculated pro-rata for the period of verified platform unavailability, net of any third-party charges (such as payment-gateway fees) that cannot be reversed.
5. What Will NOT Qualify for a Refund
- Dissatisfaction with returns, win rates, or strategy behaviour in a given period.
- Losses from any trade — including losses caused by stop-loss slippage, gap moves, circuit halts, or delayed fills by the broker/exchange.
- Outages at your broker, the exchange, or your own internet connectivity.
- Your choice to stop the system (kill switch) or revoke the API key.
- Changes in your personal circumstances (job change, liquidity needs, etc.).
- Regulatory or tax changes affecting the strategy or instruments.
6. How to Request a Refund
If you believe your case qualifies under Section 4, submit a written request that includes:
- Your registered email and phone;
- Dates and times of the alleged platform unavailability;
- Any broker-side evidence (order logs, rejection codes, timestamps);
- The specific refund amount you are requesting and your rationale.

7. Processing Timeline
- We will acknowledge receipt within 5 business days.
- We will investigate and respond with a determination within 15 business days of receipt, or sooner where possible.
- Approved refunds are processed via the original payment method through Razorpay. Depending on your card/bank/UPI provider, refunds typically reflect in 5–10 business days after processing.
8. Chargebacks
We strongly prefer resolving disputes directly. Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute without first attempting good-faith resolution with us may result in termination of your account and enforcement of the remaining committed fees as a collection matter.
9. Relationship to Terms of Service
This Refund Policy forms part of, and should be read together with, our Terms of Service. Where there is any conflict, the Terms of Service govern.
